“Try to become not a man of success, but try rather to become a man of value.”

Are these your excuses? I am too busy. I am knackered. There’s not enough cash. I don’t have the right feelings. Others have tried and failed. I don’t have the right incentive. I don’t have the information. I can’t, just cause, I can’t. I am too ancient. I am too inexperienced. I’m too tall. I’m too short. I’ll miss my favorite TV show. I just don’t need to do anything.
One website lists over 900 excuses that’ve been given for not going to work or school, breaking dates, going to the doctor, missing church, not having a correct diet, and not paying taxes.” In a cartoon a doctor asks his oversized patient, who gives excuses for not exercising, “What fits your hectic agenda better, exercising 1 hour a day or being dead 24 hours a day?”
The truth is that the excuses we are making could basically be slaughtering us, proscribing us, making us sad, and cheating us out of the life we might have.
It is strange that people had rather bother to do things dangerous to themselves or of lesser importance and create excuses for not making the changes to live the life they’re on earth to live.
It is easy to spend all of life being obese, dependent on drugs, tobacco and all sorts of things and then give excuses as to the reasons why to remain the same, instead of making the changes that would terrifically improve the quality of life.
Test your excuses:
– Are the excuses validbe honest?
– Why am I making the excuses?
– What would be the difference if I took action instead of making excuses?
– Would I actually like to modify?
– How would change improve my standard of life?
– Would change improve my health , looks, and personality?
– If others can make changes, why not I?
– What are the reasons I need to change and now?
– What is going to be the results if I don’t make some changes?
– Can I get some assistance and support to lose nasty habits?
Ask these questions and be truthful with yourself. If you’re honest, you will see that a shift is required in order to have a life free of excuses and aimed at constructive change.
